This Privacy Policy explains how HueWiz ("we", "us", or "the site"), available at huewiz.com, handles information when you use our free online color-matching tool. By using HueWiz, you agree to the practices described below.
HueWiz is a client-side tool. The color picker and all palette calculations run entirely in your browser — we do not require an account, and the colors you pick are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard server log data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This information is used for security and to understand general site usage.
Optional Google Analytics is offered through an on-site choice. If you allow it, HueWiz records a sanitized page address without its query or fragment, the page title, referring-site origin, and limited tool-success events such as generating, copying, downloading, sharing, saving, restoring, checking contrast, or extracting image colors. Tool, light/dark mode, and export format may be included. Palette colors, image contents, filenames, arbitrary inputs, and personal identifiers are excluded by our implementation. Analytics is not loaded before you allow it.
Save locally stores one palette in this browser's local storage. Saving again replaces it. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser data. Palette downloads are saved on your device. Shared studio links contain the palette's color codes in the URL fragment; the image itself is never included or uploaded. Anyone with a shared link can read its colors.
HueWiz is being reviewed for Google AdSense. During this review, the site does not load the AdSense advertising script, request ads, render ad units, or display empty ad placeholders. We retain the non-executing AdSense account-verification metadata and the authorized seller record in ads.txt. Microsoft Clarity session recording remains disabled.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info or www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Google's certified European regulations consent message is configured for use if eligible advertising is enabled. Advertising remains disabled during review. Optional Google Analytics measurement continues to require the visitor's affirmative choice through HueWiz's Analytics settings.

Colors, palettes, and images you use in HueWiz are processed locally in your browser and are not intentionally included in analytics events.
You can use the Analytics settings button on HueWiz to allow or decline optional analytics at any time. Declining or withdrawing disables measurement and removes HueWiz Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and use the opt-out tools linked above to limit personalized advertising. Disabling cookies will not affect the core color-matching features of HueWiz, since they run locally in your browser.
HueWiz is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
