What it does
Pick any color with the HSV picker or paste a hex code, and HueWiz instantly builds matching palettes — complementary, analogous, triadic, split-complementary, tetradic, and monochromatic — with copy-ready hex, RGB, and HSL values for every swatch. Beyond the picker itself, HueWiz includes an image color extractor, a color mixer, contrast-ratio checks for accessibility, and a full library of named colors, each with its own reference page.
How color matching works
Colors are matched by rotating the base hue around the color wheel. A complement sits 180° away for maximum contrast; analogous colors sit about 30° apart for a calm, cohesive feel; triadic colors are spaced 120° apart for a balanced, vibrant scheme. HueWiz applies these rotations automatically and shows each result with full color codes. For the full breakdown of these relationships and more, see the color theory guide.
Privacy by design
Every calculation — color matching, image color extraction, contrast ratios — runs entirely in your browser. No color you pick or image you upload is ever sent to a server, and no account is required.
Who builds it
HueWiz is built and maintained by SilverCodeLabs, an independent studio making fast, focused, single-purpose web tools and games — including DerivCalc (symbolic derivatives), WordBlockCrush (word puzzles), TrendBites (viral restaurant discovery), and KnotStyle (a knot field guide). Feedback, corrections, or feature requests are always welcome at hello@huewiz.com.
HueWiz is completely free with no sign-up required, and is supported by advertising, which keeps it free for everyone while leaving the color picker itself clean and uninterrupted.
